Really good looking.I use them for towel hooks. The length and width measurements need to be reversed in the description. Also I was missing one of the tiny screws at the bottom to tighten the hook. They look great!I will get more for additional bathrooms.

BathSense Mosaic Toothbrush Holder Review

BathSense Mosaic Toothbrush Holder

I bought several things from the Mosaic bath collection and so far I haven't had any problems with any of the products. They are all great! They all look classy, they are priced very reasonable, and the quality seems to be good as well. The only thing I would have changed with this toothbrush holder is the size of the hole for the toothpaste. It is definitely too small for my Aguafresh toothpaste. Not sure if any toothpaste would fit there, unless you use the smallest size of toothpaste. The holes comfortably fit around 6 toothbrushes.

Euro-Pro Shark S3501N Deluxe Steam Pocket Mop Review

Euro-Pro Shark S3501N Deluxe Steam Pocket Mop
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It started simple enough. A friend said, "You HAVE to get a Shark steamer mop thing. It's awesome."
But if you're a type-A like me, that's where the simplicity ends.
I researched the (older model) Shark and because of the not so great reviews, I ended up ordering the Eureka ENVIRO STEAMER. I chose the Eureka primarily because of a comparison review by a user. Turns out, alot of the qualities written in the review, like water tank size and cord length, didn't apply anymore.
So then, I ordered the Haan FS20-Plus 800-Watt Steam Cleaning Floor Sanitizer with Deluxe Sanitizing Tray based on the same reviewer's awesome comparison. But again, the info didn't match up to what I ordered/got.
Today, I finally broke down and just went to a brick and morter Bedbathandbeyond. The guy was very helpful and showed me the various Sharks and told me this new model (the most expensive at $119) had a bigger tank than previous.
So, here I am with 3 different steamer mops. Since I buy most of my stuff based on reviews, I thought I would take the time to do a very non-scientific comparison.
*Euro-Pro Shark S3501 Deluxe Steam Pocket Mop ($106 with my 20%coup plus tax at BBB)
*Haan FS20-Plus 800-Watt Steam Cleaning Floor Sanitizer with Deluxe Sanitizing Tray ($90 via Amazon)
*Eureka ENVIRO STEAMER ($69 via Amazon)
OUT OF THE BOX:
All three were very easy to put together. Handle either snapped/or screwed into base.
HANDLE:
All are plastic and for the most part, feel a bit flimsy. None really stood out above the others.
CORD:
Shark has 30' (the longest)
Haan and Eureka were same... about 18'.
WATER TANK: ((my top priority, behind obviously cleaning))
Shark -- approx 1 3/4 cups* (fill cup provided is not marked)
Eureka -- 1 1/4 cups* (fill cup provided is not marked but manual says capacity total 12 oz)
Haan -- 1 cup* (fill cup provided is marked)
*cup is based on the cup that came with Haan, the only one clearly marked. So I just filled the others and then dumped into the Haan cup. Hence, minor discrepancy. If you convert 12 oz into cups, it's 1 1/2 cups... but for some reason when I filled the Eureka container and dumped it into the Haan cup, it only filled it 1 1/4 ways. Go figure.
CLEANING PAD:
Shark's cleaning cloth covers the head but the design allows you to flip it so you can use both sides with ease. The whole head actually flips on the mop so it's not like you're taking the cloth off and then putting it back on. (2 rectangular cloths included, along with 2 triangular cloths, for the triangular head -- I guess for corners or tight spaces. But I have not used or tried out. Also, 1 fluffy looking thing that's for dusting...again, have not tried this out either.)
**edited to add 1/8/2010** I've used the purple duster on wood floors and love it! Cleans great.
Eureka -- waffle type of towel, held in place by clamps on the base. After 1 wash, the trim started coming off and it already had a very worn/old look to it. Not sure how long it would have held up. (2 included)
Haan -- a thick, microfiber trapazoid that just sort of velcros onto the bottom. Very sturdy. (2 included)
OVERALL CLEANING (see photo):
Obviously, not very scientific but I swiped a wet paper towel on a portion of my tile that I was planning to clean.
I split the area into thirds so each steam mop was used in one section (I have large stone tile with deep grout lines (see photo).
Then I went over that cleaned section with another wet paper towel to see how much dirt could be picked up.
NONE: (first paper towel on left) Clearly, the dirtiest.
Haan: cleaned the best (again, not scientific just how much was picked up on a paper towel after using the steam mop)
Eureka Enviro: cleaned the worst (but obviously, still great, compared to nothing)
Shark: in the middle.
CONCLUSION:
I'm keeping the Shark because of several factors:
*big water chamber (thus longer steam time)
*long cord (convenience of not using extension cord or unplugging and re-plugging)
*dual head cleaning cover (pretty handy)
*complete swivel head... but because of this feature, the drawback is that you have to lean the handle up against a counter because it won't stand on its own, like the Haan or Eureka.
I won't go into detail about the wetness factor because frankly, all three left the surface wet but all three dried pretty quickly (much more quickly than when I use a traditional sponge mop/pinesol). This was really not an issue for me.
OVERALL, seriously, I would be thrilled with any one of these... because they do cut down tile floor cleaning time tremendously-- and without using chemicals. Any one of them clearly beats the old mop and bucket method.
I guess it comes down to how you prioritize the features. For me, after this exhaustive research -- I'm sticking with the Shark! Good luck on yours... and my you NOT find yourself in a similar dilemma where you're obsessing over minor details like I did.
EXTRA FYI:
"Pocket" vs "deluxe" -- what's the difference between the gold and purple set?
Both Pocket (gold) and Deluxe(purple) are priced the same but the Pocket comes with ONE set of cleaning cloths. But you do get a third head -- that's an XL rectagular head. The purple set comes with two sets of cleaning cloths. I think for the money, the purple set is the way to go.
Hope that helps!

Antigo Chairside End Table by Ashley - Metal (T233-7) Review

Antigo Chairside End Table by Ashley - Metal (T233-7)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This was bought to replace my 4D Concepts magazine end table I had purchased prior to the holidays. While this Ashley End table is more expensive (at least as listed on Amazon), it is also more effective at it's price point. The slate has a cleaner appearance, better finish, and more vibrant color. Assembly was a minor hassle - moreso than the 4D Concepts end table - but the end product is sturdier, with a better appearance. The dimensions are also more logical, and it happens to match well with both my central coffee table (an Ashley product) and my slate kitchen-area table (not Ashley).
My advice is to pay the extra money and buy this higher quality end table, at least as compared with the 4D Concepts end table. That 4D Concepts table now has a more functional role in a less visible part of my living area.

I own a pool tile cleaning business, and this seems to be the product everyone is using to seal tiles after cleaning. I'm not sold on the fact that it really does much. My biggest challenge with the stuff is if you aren't really careful with the stuff it turns to jello. I keep mine in the fridge, and then have to put it in a cooler with ice when I go on a job. Even with doing that and squeezing all the air out of the container each time I use it, I have yet to be able to use more than 1/2 a bottle before it turns to gell and I have to through it out.

4D Concepts 3-Tier Plant Stand with Slate Top, Metal/ Slate Review

4D Concepts 3-Tier Plant Stand with Slate Top, Metal/ Slate
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I would highly recommend this plant stand from 4D Concepts. First of all, it's attractive - the shelves give the appearance of slate. Secondly, it very compact and doesn't take up the room that 3 individual plant stands would. In addition, the side shelves fold up if you don't want to use them. I have one very large plant - 16" in diameter - in the center, and two 8" plants on the side - and the stand is very sturdy. There was no assembly involved, and I'm very happy with the purchase.

McCulloch MC-1275 Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner Review

McCulloch MC-1275 Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After some research and contemplation, I bought this unit to clean and disinfect bathrooms and other household stuff. By in large, most of the observations from the reviews here have been consistent with what I've seen.
PROS:
1. Steam lasts a very long time. The manual says it can hold up to 48oz of water from which to generate 2 hrs of steam. This appears to be right if you're holding the nozzle open constantly. In reality, its longer because you have to steam-wipe-steam-wipe repeatedly, letting the machine rest during "wipes". I can get a good 3 hrs of cleaning done on one full tank of water. Also keeping you from holding open the nozzle is that you have to give it time to "recharge" since it appears that it does not generate steam as fast as you use it.
2. It works on what it claims: most "organic" build-ups like soap scum, toothpaste, dirt, etc. Cleans darkened grout nicely. Doesn't damage the finish on fixtures. I was expecting a little too much on the calcium deposits from hard water... steam just wasn't effective.
3. Nice supply of attachments (brushes) although its unclear what types of surfaces these brushes can be safely used on. In particular, I refer to the smaller round brushes. For example, my guess is that the brass brushes are not meant for highly polished finishes.
4. Good enough to clean hard to reach crevices like sliding door tracks (shower doors or patio doors), faucet details, etc.
5. Works well on car wheels. Brake dust is very fine and a pain to clean by hand. Not to mention that the chemicals are often not meant to touch the brake disc surface (I have yet to figure out how splashing water from a hose can be directed only to the wheel and not the brakes within).
6. Steam is the only option for cleaning chemically-prohibited surfaces (I never knew chemical cleaners were not recommended in microwaves!).
CONS:
1. Its loud! Not the machine, but the steam as it comes out of the nozzle. I strongly recommend hearing protection while you use it when indoors. My ears were ringing for about an hour after my first session.
2. Steaming takes time. If you're not opposed to using chemicals, often I find that bleach works as good, if not better, than steam. Compared to 5-10 mins steaming a polished chrome bath fixture to get it sparkling, it took 30 secs using your household bath cleaner with bleach.
3. Steam just doesn't work efficiently on mineral build-up. Chemicals are far more time-efficient. Hard water stains and deposits require lots of time and lots of elbow-grease (scrubbing). And even then, I'm not convinced it was cleaner than using chemicals (i.e., judging from the "gleam" off the surface).
4. The steam pressure is not very high. It isn't very low either, but definnitely not high enough to "blow" debris away more than an inch or two from where the steam jet hits. The best approach seems to loosen with steam then wash away with water or wipe away with sponge. Hence, I don't recommend using this for something like cleaning a car engine where neither wash nor wipe are feasible. (I guess you could steam long enough so that the condensed water from the steam was enough to wash away the gunk on its own, but that would take forever.)
5. It needs time to build up steam pressure while you work. The light is supposed to turn off when it is ready. While in use, the light will come on when the pressure reaches some threshold. Continued use beyond that point without letting it rest means you work with less pressure. When the tank is full of "condensed" water, the light comes on more frequently. As the water is depleted and more volume in the tank can accommodate vapor steam, the light comes on less often.
6. The width of the brushes simply do not permit reaching into 90 degree crevices or those really tight spaces. This is minor, however, but a flat or low-profile brush attachment would have been nice. A medium bristle toothbrush is a nice companion in my cleaning adventures...
Overall, pretty happy with this unit. To be efficient, I've found using a combined balance of chemicals and steam is best. It definitely reduces the amount of chemicals I need to use. For hard-to-reach or delicate surface areas, steam wins outright (with the mentioned toothbrush).

Tilex Mold & Mildew Remover Spray, 16-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12) Review

Tilex Mold and Mildew Remover Spray, 16-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Everytime I use Tilex, I am amazed at how well it works.
You just spray on the mildew area, comes back in a few hours, all the mildew disappears, even without scrubing, or even rinse off...
Where did the ugly, black, brown mildew went?????
So well, I am beginning to wonder how it works...
But I think the mildew or mold is beginning to develop a resistance to it, as now the time it takes to have to spray Tilex between application has decreased... It also seem to leave a white powerdery residue, or is that just soap scum?
One thing that one must be careful when applying Tilex is to keep the windows open, well ventilated, because the fume is very strong.

DMT FSKC Diafold Serrated Knife Sharpener - Coarse Review

I ordered this for my fiance and he loves it. He has sharpened every knife in our house and at his parents. It doesn't look like much, but it definitely puts a sharp edge on any blade.
I ordered this particular one because it is sort of an all purpose, everday sharpener but even though it is only rated fine it still removes small nicks. We are going to buy the DMT ceramic extra-fine sharpener (white handle) too, so he can refine the edges even more.
This was kind of a throw away gift that turned into the best christmas gift of the year for him. I couldn't find any reviews for this product anywhere else, so I hope that this one is helpful.

Attic Dek Flooring -Pack of 4 panels (Gray) (24" x 16") Review

Attic Dek Flooring -Pack of 4 panels (Gray) (24 x 16)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm one of those people who's kinda sorta handy, but for some reason I STINK when it comes to measuring & cutting wood, and making it fit in places where it wouldn't normally go. Our attic is just beams & insulation, and until last spring didn't even have an entrance beyond a 3-foot by 4-foot hole in the ceiling.
But my wife and I were determined to use this space for storage. We had a fold-down attic ladder/door installed, but then nothing else was done for almost a whole year after that. The daunting task now awaited us of buying a TON of plywood, measuring it so that it would fit through the door- yet be wide enough to lay over the beams, cutting it all up, and lastly finding a reliable way to secure it to the beams- all the while trying to work in a confined space that was hot as blazes in the summer or bone-chilling in the winter.
That's where Attic Dek came in. I remember someone telling me they had seen or heard about some type of attic flooring at a home/trade show, and I decided to punch 'attic flooring' into Google & see what turned up. Attic Dek was one of the first results, and I knew almost immediately that I wanted it for my own project. The salespeople at Attic Dek were extremely nice, but they first suggested I order one pack of the panels (I needed the more expensive 24"), and see how I liked it. Needless to say, I called back a few weeks later to place my order of 10 more packs.
It's just an ingenious invention- the way the panels interlock with each other makes installation VERY easy- you can even offset the panels if you have one area that's wider than another. They all just fit together perfectly... My attic is now a fully-functional storage space, and I was finally able to put my car in the garage after nearly 2 years of living in my house!
The *only* negative you will come across has to do with the screws. You have to be a bit gentle when driving into the beams, because sometimes the heads of the screws will pop off. I had this happen 2-3 times before I recognized the problem. Be forceful when drilling, but go slow.

Fein 63502118016 2-1/2-Inch Segmented Carbide Grout Removal Blade Review

Fein 63502118016 2-1/2-Inch Segmented Carbide Grout Removal Blade
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Yes, you have to have a Fein oscillating sander to use the blade. The sander has a lifetime warrantee and can be used for hours at a time without problem. The blade turns out to be way cheaper than the multiple Dremmel 1/16" diamond grout-removal blades you can eat up on a large project (though I stll used one for small places). If you can swing it, the Fein sander is usually available for $290 somewhere-- plunge cuts, sands, rasps-- and is far safer than a rotary tool because of it's oscillatory motion (like a bone saw for cast-removal). It's not cheap, but is is the best tool I've found for this.

This blade is designed to remove grout from standard grout lines 5/64-inch and bigger. The oscillating action of the tool vibrates the grout out without damaging the tile on either side of the grout line. The carbide coating on the blade allows for rapid grout removal from in between tiles. The segmentation allows for removing one tile at a time as well as grout removal against a wall without damaging the wall.
