(More customer reviews)There's a window on my bottom landing that I've always thought would look nice if it were stained glass. But after reviewing the cost of stained glass I realized I'd probably never get it down. This window is also a bit of a privacy issue because it's located on the way up to the bedroom and I often run pass it in my undies worried the neighbors might see me. I decided to try this film to see if it might be a good compromise. As a compromise it's okay.
The film is pretty easy to put up and it certainly does take care of the privacy issues. It "kinda" looks like it could pass for stained glass. Light doesn't really pass through it the way it does real stained glass. That's my only issue with it really. Light does come through it and lights the pattern but with real stained glass you can still see out a little, even if it's a blurry view. This totally obscures the view. But, alas, for the money, it's not a bad compromise if you find you have a similar situation. Oh, and the fact that this particular pattern is textured makes a huge difference in giving the effect of stained glass. The flat, untextured patterns just look like wallpaper for your windows.
