Why do the other reviewers talk about this product as a toilet bowl cleaner? I s'pose it can be used to clean toilet bowls, but the manufacturers make a version in packaging that's meant for cleaning toilet bowls. The toilet cleaner version might have stronger ingredients because people are less likely to have their skin come in contact with toilet bowl cleaner.
----------------
I bought the pump spray version (shown in the product image) to clean my shower. Web research said that the active ingredient is 10% glycolic acid. I wanted to solve 2 problems: the shower faucet was getting harder to turn, I believe due to mineral residue near the mechanism; and the once clear glass enclosure was getting cloudy from mineral deposits.
The directions on the back of the bottle said not to use it on metallic surfaces, but the illustration on the front of the bottle showed cleaning faucets with it. These seem to be contradictory messages.
I started out wearing rubber gloves, and sprayed the cleaner into the space between the faucet and the wall, and used a microfiber cloth to wipe it on the glass. I let it process for a few minutes, then rinsed. The first several of uses of this product didn't yield any perceptible results. I dispensed with the rubber gloves but continued to use it. My skin seems unaffected. After 20+ cleanings, the faucet did get easier to turn and the glass did get clear again.
So, it works, but slowly.
