(More customer reviews)I bought this product for my 2 decks. The plastic shoes underneath trap the water so the wood is exposed to wet condition all the time. Problems I don't like with this product:
- within 1-2 days out of the boxes, tiles started showing visible warp because 1. the wood may not be treated properly 2. wood is too thin so it's easy to warp and the screw to attach wood slats to plastic shoes splits the wood
- within one week, I had to replace around 10-15% of the tiles because they warp too much
- within 3 month, I had to replace around 50%
- after that I moved away so don't know how the tiles are now
- mold grows pretty fast because water can't be completely drained, trapped by plastic shoes
- tend to expand/contract 3-5% under heat or cold weather
- color fades quickly
I've seen better products. Make sure the slats are thick enough.
