(More customer reviews)I must admit, the only reason I bought this was because it's blue and I thought that was funny. I've used it several times and the novelty of spraying my shower blue hasn't worn off, so it's got that going for it.
I live in a rental with a shower made of some satanic plastic material that is textured just enough to never come clean. This issue is a cause of constant rage in my life, so I've tried basically everything I can think of to try to solve it. This Kaboom stuff has been the first thing that has actually penetrated the soap scum and loosened it enough so I could scrub it off.
On the first run, I sprayed the shower down, left it, and scrubbed everything clean. I've used it twice since then for a few quickies- just spray and rinse, and it does pretty well. Without scrubbing, the "chrome" looks sparkling and perfect, and the demon plastic looks cleaner but not spotless. Definitely good enough to skip the major scrub-down, though.
So it does work, however I am forced to cover my nose and mouth when I'm spraying it on because the smell is really overwhelming. It's not that it smells bad necessarily, but it just smells A LOT. And I can kind of smell it for the rest of the day when I use it, which isn't so unpleasant as it is unnerving in a "are you sure I'm not losing brain cells over this?" kind of way.
